Weโre seeking a Senior IoT Embedded QA Engineer to own quality across the full device lifecycleโensuring reliable hardware behavior, stable firmware, and seamless cloud connectivity.

โข Final Release Ownership:
Act as the final quality gateโno firmware is released to production (50K+ units) without your approval.
โข Firmware Validation:
Perform comprehensive testing of firmware builds, including feature validation, regression testing, and long-term stability testing.
โข OTA (Over-the-Air) Update Testing:
Validate full OTA workflows, including recovery from interrupted or failed updates and anti-bricking scenarios.
โข Hardware-Level Debugging:
โข Capture and analyze serial/UART logs to identify root causes.
โข Test devices under real-world stress conditions such as low battery, power fluctuations, and weak or unstable networks.
โข End-to-End System Testing:
Verify complete data flow from device/sensors โ gateway/network โ cloud backend and dashboards.
โข Defect Tracking & Ownership:
Accurately identify whether issues originate from hardware, firmware, or backend systems and assign them to the appropriate teams using Jira or Linear.
โข Production Readiness:
Establish and maintain standardized Go/No-Go checklists for production batches.
โข Quality Metrics
Intercept at least 95% of critical firmware defects before pilot or production rollout.
โข Cross-Team Collaboration:
Reduce feedback loop time between firmware and cloud teams through clear communication and actionable test reports.

โข Relevant Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience testing embedded IoT devices (ESP32, STM32, GSM/LTE modules such as Quectel).
โข Technical Expertise:
โข Proficiency with firmware flashing tools
โข Strong experience capturing and analyzing logs using TeraTerm, PuTTY, or Minicom
โข Solid understanding of IoT protocols: MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, BLE, UART, CAN
โข Hardware Familiarity:
Comfortable using multimeters to measure voltage, current, and battery drain; hands-on experience handling PCBs and device enclosures.
โข Network Simulation & Testing:
Experience testing devices under 2G/4G/Wi-Fi switching scenarios and unstable network conditions.
โข Automation Skills:
Basic Python scripting ability to automate test cases and validation workflows.
